April is Child Abuse Prevention Month
Sunday, March 1, 2015
Throughout the month of April McMahon/Ryan Child Advocacy Center is joining the National Children’s Alliance and its thousands of members and supporters across the country to bring much needed attention to the issues of child abuse intervention and prevention. As the leading agency in Onondaga County for the prevention of child abuse, McMahon/Ryan Child Advocacy Center is planning a number of activities and events to recognize the importance of community education on child abuse prevention.
This April, the Center and supporters will place 8,000 pinwheels at various locations in the community to raise awareness of child abuse Central New York. The pinwheel is the national symbol for child abuse prevention and symbolizes the happy and healthy childhood that all children deserve.
