We see it daily on the news: A professional athlete charged with felony abuse after allegations that he whipped his 4-year old son. A highly respected actor accused of sexually assaulting at least three young girls. A teacher threatening to fail a student if he didn’t maintain a sexual relationship with her.
A coach. An uncle. A babysitter.
A priest. A parent. A neighbor.
Adults in position of power who hurt and take advantage of children.
We’re asking you to take a stand against child abuse by making a donation to McMahon/Ryan Child Advocacy Center. Your donation goes directly to providing treatment to children in Onondaga County and to community outreach efforts aimed at preventing future abuse.
Together we can change the statistics. We know child abuse is preventable. And we know that responsible adults are in the best position to keep children safe from harm. That’s why we’re here. The multidisciplinary team at McMahon/Ryan Child Advocacy Center works collaboratively to treat and counsel families, to investigate and prosecute abusers, and to teach adults how to protect the children they care about.
We owe it to our community’s children to invest in their safety and security.
